Prince Hisahito, the only son of the Crown Prince of Japan, has been accepted to the University of Tsukuba.
He is currently a third-year student at a Tokyo high school, which is affiliated with the university. He recently passed the university’s recommendation-based entrance exam. He hopes to be able to study natural history with a focus on insects.
According to the Imperial Household Agency, Prince Hisahito studied hard to get into this university. He had an early interest in nature through activities such as collecting dragonflies at his residence in Tokyo.
The 18-year-old Prince is currently second in the line of succession behind his father.
