Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako will host an incoming state visit to Japan.
The Japanese Government has announced that the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr., accompanied by his spouse, First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, will pay a state visit to Japan in May. The visit, which will be the President’s third since taking office, will serve to strengthen the ‘friendly relations’ between Japan and the Philippines.
During their stay, from the 26th to 29th May, the President and First Lady will make a state call on Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako. The Imperial Couple are also expected to host a state banquet in honour of President Marcos and First Lady Louise. Other members of the Imperial Family will almost certainly be in attendance to assist in hosting the Presidential Couple and their delegations.
There has yet to be any word from the President’s Office. The Royal News Organisation will keep you up to date with all developments in what will be the first incoming state visit to Japan since last October.
