Crown Prince Haakon of Norway visited the language cafe at Deichman Lambertseter.
The language cafe takes place weekly, and participants meet to practice Norwegian in an informal setting. The 25 to 30 participants are from different countries, and they speak with each other and volunteer conversation partners. The language cafe is free and open to everyone.
Crown Prince Haakon learned more about how language cafes work and then sat down at one of the tables to take part in a conversation. They spoke about, among other things, the celebration of May 17. On that day, Norway celebrates its Constitution Day.
The language cafes are celebrating their 10th anniversary soon.
