Queen Mary of Denmark visited Momentet, the Deaconess Foundation’s social psychiatric residence for young adults.
Her Majesty travelled to Gentofte and was greeted by Vice-Chairperson of the Board Birgitte Qvist-Sørensen, Managing Director Anette Christoffersen, Housing Manager Thomas Hald Petersen, Deputy Manager Anette Kjærgaard Frandsen and resident Storm Wester Fischer. The latter presented Mary with flowers and later took a photograph with the consort.
Queen Mary’s visit included a tour of the residence that can house 19 people before speaking to those who live there about their experiences and future dreams. The discussions also allowed her to learn more about the work the Deaconess Foundation undertakes for young adults (aged 18-35).

Queen Mary has been the patron of the foundation since 2024.
The Queen also took part in a special meeting at the Momentet called the “milestone meeting,” where Momentet’s staff and a resident discussed milestones from an action plan or Momentet’s pedagogical development plan in what was described as a follow-up meeting.
The goal of Momentet is to help young adults increase their quality of life and become more self-sufficient with wide-ranging activities based on Christian values.
