Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem of Morocco have presented golf awards.
Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem, the brother and sister of King Mohammed VI, presided over the awards ceremony for the winners of the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 29th Lalla Meryem Cup at the Royal Golf Dar Es-Salam in Rabat. The King is the royal patron of the awards.
The award ceremony concluded a week that brought together PGA TOUR Champions legends, Ladies European Tour players, Moroccan talent and a large audience.
The Hassan II Golf Trophy was founded in 1971 by King Hassan II and celebrated its golden jubilee this year. It was awarded to Australia’s Scott Hend, with a total score of 15 under par. He is the first Australian player to win the trophy.
The Lalla Meryem Cup was founded in 1993 by King Hassan II. It was awarded to Canada’s Anna Huang with a total score of 15 under par.
