King and Queen of Bhutan visit eastern Bhutan

The King and Queen of Bhutan visited eastern Bhutan with their children.

The King and Queen were joined by their children, Prince Jigme Namgyel, Prince Ugyen, and Princess Sonam Yangden, as they visited Yonphula Lhakhang and the new Yonphula Shedra, a Royal Project. They were also joined by the King’s younger brother, Jigme Dorji, and his wife Ashi Yeatso Lhamo.

The King also visited Sherubtse College and met with the faculty and students. Later that evening, he met with dzongkhag officials from Tashigang and Tashiyangtse.

The King and his family will also visit the second edition of the Rhododendron Festival at Sheytemi, Merak.
