The Akishino Couple will visit Paraguay this autumn.
The Imperial Household Agency announced earlier today, 4th March, that discussions are underway for Crown Prince Akishino (Prince Fumihito) and Crown Princess Akishino (Kiko) to visit the Republic of Paraguay in August. The visit comes at the invitation of the President, His Excellency Santiago Peña.
The year 2026 will mark the 90th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Paraguay. For the celebrations, a one-week visit will see the Crown Prince Couple pay a courtesy call on the President, attend a banquet, and visit with Japanese communities living in Paraguay.

Other engagements and a full programme will be announced in due course, per the IHA.
Crown Prince Fumihito most recently visited Paraguay to mark the 70th anniversary of immigration in 2006, while his eldest daughter, former princess Mako, visited in 2016 marking the 80th anniversary.
The Royal News Organisation will keep you up to date with the visit this autumn.
