Infanta Sofía of Spain’s university plans have been revealed by Casa Real, and the young royal will be going abroad to study.

The daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia will study at the private Forward College.

The Infanta will study political science at the three campuses in Lisbon, Portugal, Paris, France and Berlin, Germany. The first year of study is in Portugal, and it is followed by France and Germany in years two and three.

The 18-year-old’s choice is different from that of her sister, Princess Leonor, who, as heir to the throne, is currently undergoing a three-year military training in each of Spain’s military branches.

Forward College was founded in 2021 and is said to be guided by the London School of Economics.

It has been said that the King and Queen will pay her tuition (around €18,500 annually) from their official allowance.

Sofía graduated from the United World College in Wales earlier this year.

She will enroll in Forward College starting this autumn.
