Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway helped launch the Norwegian Red Cross’s summer safety campaign on Thursday at Kadettangen in Bærum, joining volunteers for a day of rescue demonstrations and hands-on activities.
The only children of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, the two have been showing up at more public events lately. At Kadettangen, they spent time talking with volunteers and watching how teams get ready for the busy summer season. Ingrid Alexandra, 21, gave a rescue drone a try. Both she and Sverre Magnus, 19, joined a water rescue exercise.
Volunteers also demonstrated CPR and explained how they respond to incidents, especially those involving water. The Red Cross has boats and trained teams stationed across the country, ready to act when needed.
The visit wrapped up with a short ceremony, where the royal siblings officially opened the 2025 summer preparedness season.
