As the heir apparent, he is entitled to a permanent seat in the State Council, and he took his seat for the first time since his grandmother’s abdication last year.
During the meeting, he signed a declaration pursuant to Section 8 of the Constitution stating “unwaveringly committed to complying with the Constitution”. He had already signed this declaration upon his 18th birthday, but he has since become the Crown Prince of Denmark.
