The Spanish Royal Family marked Pascua Militar in Madrid on 6 January – Epiphany.

King Felipe, Queen Letizia and the Princess of Asturias marked the annual event on Three Kings’ Day at the Royal Palace in Madrid.

Pascua Militar marks the beginning of the military year, and the King and Princess were in their military uniforms for the solemn act.

The day began at the Plaza de la Almudena, where the Royal Family joined the Minister of Defence, Margarita Robles Fernández, and members of the Spanish military. The presentation of arms, the national anthem and a 21-gun salute then took place.
