Queen Sonja of Norway opened the new exhibition “Leonard Rickhard: Between construction and collapse” at the Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo.

Leonard Rickhard passed away on 7 January 2024 after a short illness but managed to finish the exhibition as it had been planned over the last three years. He was 78 years old.

Queen Sonja was welcomed by the museum’s director and curator of the exhibition, Solveig Øvstebø, who gave a speech. She was also accompanied by the mayor of Oslo, Anne Lindboe.

The exhibition at Astrup Fearnley opens to the public today and will run until 19 May 2024.
