Queen Silvia of Sweden has opened an exhibition featuring fifty years of her own dresses.
The exhibition is called “Dräkter för en drottning – vardag och fest under 50 år” (The Queen’s Royal Wardrobe – Everyday and Special Occasions Over 50 Years). The exhibition is on display in the Dejeunér Salon, Drottningholm Palace Theatre.
The outfits and dresses reflect a variety of occasions and engagements, providing unique insight into Queen Silvia’s wardrobe.

The exhibition is curated by the Drottningholm Palace Theatre’s studio and exhibition manager Anna Kjellsdotter, who has extensive knowledge of fashion history. She said, “Being able to display clothing from HM The Queen’s first years in her work as Queen of Sweden until today is a cultural-historical journey that will bring back many memories for visitors.”
