Queen Letizia presides over digital poverty event

Queen Letizia has presided over a digital poverty event organised by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation. The event’s motto was “Technology to close gaps. Creating without limits.”

The BVA Microfinance Foundation has been working in five Latin American countries over the last 15 years and has helped over 6 million entrepreneurs.

Queen Letizia said, “In times when there is debate about artificial intelligence and the analysis of massive data, there are millions of people for those who an application, geolocation, voice recognition, for example, manage to start their way of life thanks to the granting of a small loan. And thus guarantee their survival and that of their children. I am referring to decent housing, to the necessary training, to basic health services.”
