The Princess of Asturias and Princess Alexia of the Netherlands have participated in the traditional Leavers Celebration at their school, UWC Atlantic.
Although the exam results aren’t due to be announced until July, the two Princesses received diplomas. Princess Leonor was joined by her parents, King Felipe and Queen Letizia, and her sister Infanta Sofía, who will start her stay at the school in the new term. Princess Alexia was joined by her parents, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. Unfortunately, her sisters are both still on their school terms and were thus unable to join her.
A video of Princess Leonor receiving her diploma was shared by the Spanish royals, while a few words were spoken about her. “Leonor, your love of meaningful conversations knows no bounds. Your unwavering passion for learning, understanding people, and exploring diverse perspectives has truly enriched your UWC experience. We will miss your humour.”
Princess Alexia presumably received her diploma in the same ceremony as King Willem-Alexander was spotted close to the Spanish King, but the Dutch royals have shared just one image outside on the school grounds.
Princess Leonor will start her military training in August, but no announcements have yet been made about Princess Alexia’s future.
