Norway’s Princess Märtha Louise has revealed whether or not she would give up her royal title.
On Danish television, the daughter of King Harald and Queen Sonja appeared with her husband, Durek Verrett, in a program recorded before the holidays.
On TV2’s Insider, the couple discussed various topics, including previous controversies surrounding the shaman and a jewel he sold on his website in 2022.
However, the most noticeable part of the program was when the Princess was asked if she would renounce her royal title after Norwegians were angered over last year’s Netflix documentary with the couple. Some Norwegians shared with pollsters that they wanted Märtha Louise to relinquish her title due to comments made in the program about racism.

The Princess was adamant that she would not give up her title.
“It’s part of me, of who I am, and of my family,” she said.
She also recognised that some people don’t like what she does and says, “Of course, there are people who disagree with us, but why should I focus on them?”
Princess Märtha Louise then pointed out that she gave up her royal allowance in 2002 to live her life the way she wanted.
On that, she said, “I am an independent woman who wants to earn her own living, so for me, it was a completely natural decision.”
