Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco have received their First Communion.
During the First Communion, a person first receives the Eucharist. This typically takes place between the ages of seven and thirteen. Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are ten years old.
The Palais Princier posted on social media, “On this day of First Communion, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who received this sacrament with faith and reverence.”
Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are the twins of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and his wife, Princess Charlene of Monaco. They were born on 10 December 2014. While Prince Jacques is the younger twin, he is first in the line of succession, while his twin sister is second. They were baptised at the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate in Monaco-Ville on 10 May 2015, just over ten years to the date of their First Communion.
