A new stamp has been issued by Post Nord Sverige in honour of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia’s 50th wedding anniversary.

The Swedish postal service is honouring the King and Queen with a golden stamp to mark their anniversary.

Kristina Olofsdotter, Head of Stamps at PostNord, said, “The first stamp with the King and Queen was released in 1976, the same year they got married. With the new stamp, we want to celebrate 50 years of love, togetherness and cooperation. The newly taken image, together with the design’s gold-foiled details, gives the entire mini-sheet a solemn touch.”

The stamp features a newly released photo, taken by Elisabeth Toll in Drottningholm Palace Park in February 2026. It is framed by a mini-sheet and shows the official logo for their golden wedding anniversary in the bottom right.

Daniel Bjugård is responsible for the design.

It is available for purchase now on Post Nord Sverige and will cost 50 kroner. You can buy it here.

The King and Queen’s wedding anniversary is on 19 June, but since that falls on Midsummer’s Eve this year, celebrations will take place on 13 June instead.
