King Harald sends message of condolence to Myanmar and Thailand

King Harald V of Norway has sent a message of condolence to the people of Myanmar and Thailand following the devastating earthquake.

The message reads, “To the people of Myanmar and Thailand,

“I was profoundly saddened by the news of the devastating earthquake affecting Myanmar and Thailand, which claimed so many lives and caused such widespread destruction. On behalf of myself and the Norwegian people, I would like to express my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the bereaved families and others affected by this tragic event.
