King Harald of Norway celebrated the 100th anniversary of a Trondheim synagogue.

The King of Norway attended the centenary celebration of Trondheim Synagogue, the only remaining synagogue in Norway outside of Oslo.

The important Jewish building, built in the neo-Romanesque style, is the world’s northernmost active synagogue and serves as a religious and cultural gathering point for Jewish people in that area of Norway.

His Majesty attended the gathering that highlighted the synagogue’s history and its importance to the community.

He was joined by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and representatives of the Jewish community in Trondheim for the celebration.
