The new King Haakon VIII of Norway will take the oath before the Storting on Tuesday.
The President of the Storting, Masud Gharahkhani, confirmed this to Norwegian broadcaster NRK.
He will also be the one leading the solemn ceremony.
Section 9 of the Constitution states that when the King, as an adult, takes office as the government, he takes the following oath in the Storting: “I promise and swear to govern the Kingdom of Norway in accordance with its constitution and laws, so help me God the Almighty and the All-Knowing!”
Parliament will convene at 1 pm on Tuesday.
