Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie are expected to travel to Spain.
Following their accession last autumn, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg have paid return “courtesy visits” to the countries which were present during the Enthronement ceremonies.
Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany are all places with close ties to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and it was no surprise that they were among the few foreign representations last October.
The newest European sovereigns have also paid a one-day visit to Vatican City, along with Prince Charles and Prince François.
Spanish royal journalist Jose Moreno, for HOLA! (the Spanish HELLO! Magazine), has reported over the weekend that Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie will travel to Spain next month. The expected one-day visit in March will see the two sovereign couples meet at the Royal Palace in Madrid, followed by a luncheon. The Grand Ducal Couple is also expected to be received with honours during their visit.
The Royal News Organisation will keep you up to date with all the announcements and programmes for next month’s visit.
