Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg is recovering from surgery.

The mother of Grand Duke Guillaume underwent a successful scheduled procedure and will need to rely on crutches for a period.

The Grand Ducal Court confirmed the surgery to RTL, saying the planned procedure was successful.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was feeling well enough to join Grand Duke Henri earlier this week to welcome children to Berg Castle.

At present, no further information has been released regarding Her Royal Highness’s surgery.
