The Dutch royals were in attendance at Prinsjesdag, which is a joint session of the States-General of the Netherlands where the King gives the Speech from the Throne today.
Prince Constantijn, Princess Laurentien and Princess Alexia departed from Noordeinde Palace ahead of King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and the Princess of Orange. The speech from the throne took place in the Royal Theatre as the regular venue – the Knight’s Hall – is still under renovation. They travelled to the theatre in the Glass Coach and the Gala Berliner. It was the first time for Princess Alexia.
King Willem-Alexander spoke of the government’s permanent objective to keep working on equality of opportunity and perspective for everyone. He also reflected on ten years of being King.
Afterwards, the family appeared on the balcony of Noordeinde Palace.
