Queen Mary may be one of the most fashionable women in the world, but to her teenage daughters, her fashion is not that popular.

While attending the Global Fashion Summit this week, Queen Mary spoke about her daughters borrowing her clothes.

Regarding Princess Isabella (17) or Princess Josephine (13) raiding her closet, the Queen said: “But because of the age difference, they wouldn’t want to be caught dead in it.”

However, she added that occasionally they will wear her clothes, “But when I do see them in something of myself, I become happy.”

Queen Mary spoke about fashion sustainability at the summit and the importance of people sharing clothes and buying second-hand clothing.

“Our planet is beautiful and fragile and we have a responsibility to protect and preserve it for our children and generations to come. Imagine a fashion industry that gives more than it takes from people and the planet,” she said.

Over 1000 stakeholders attended the Global Fashion Summit in Denmark this week to discuss sustainable solutions and alliances in the fashion industry.
