Save the Children’s Secretary General, Johanne Schmidt-Nielsen, and Save the Children’s representative, Niels Lund, welcomed His Majesty to the Family Experience Club.

He met the families and children around a campfire, helped to make dhal over the campfire and then walked with them on the trails for “Nature Bingo.”

The father of four also helped the children fish with nets and examine animal and plant life at the lake.

The family clubs by Save the Children meet around once a month for vulnerable children aged 5 to 12. King Frederik has been patron since 2002.
