King Frederik X of Denmark has made his three younger children Knights of the Order of the Elephant.

Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine will receive the order’s insignia on their 18th birthdays. Isabella will come of age on 21 April 2025. Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine will turn 18 on 8 January 2029.

As children of the monarch, they are entitled to be Knights of the Order of the Elephant from birth. As their grandmother was on the throne at the time of their births, they did not receive the honour until their father took the throne on 14 January 2024.

This is not uncommon as both King Frederik and his younger brother, Prince Joachim, were made Knights when their mother became Queen of Denmark in 1972. They were then presented with the insignia on their 18th birthdays.

Their older brother, Crown Prince Christian, was granted the honour on his 18th birthday on 15 October 2023 by Queen Margrethe.
