Crown Prince Christian of Denmark will act as regent for the first time during his father’s visit to Poland.

The Danish King is required to have a regent any time they are out of the country, regardless of the nature of the trip. Following his father’s accession, and his own 18th birthday, Crown Prince Christian will be able to serve as regent. He will do so from Wednesday until Friday, when his father is away.

Crown Prince Christian will handle the duties of the Head of State, although there will not be many urgent matters to attend to.
