King Charles III – The Leadership and Vision of Modern Monarch by Robert Jobson is a lovely book dedicated to King Charles.
It features a plethora of photos, taken by Arthur Edwards, and looks at Charles’s life from being a young prince to monarch.
As a royal reporter, I’ve been sent several books to read and review, but this one really sticks out to me. I like that it is not just a normal biography. The addition of so many photographs is a unique and more eye-catching way to read about Charles’s life and the causes/initiatives close to his heart.
Of course, not every book is perfect, and I wasn’t a fan of the supporting partner advertising strewn throughout the book. I would be enjoying reading about King Charles and turning the page to find several pages of sponsor advertisements. I really felt this took away from the book and its appeal.
I must also mention the book itself. Published by St James’s House, the cover is green velvet with the title written in gold. It is sturdy and wonderfully made, and I plan to have it sitting out at my house for others to enjoy.
Overall, I do recommend purchasing this book, just be aware of the sponsorship pages throughout the book. If you can overlook that, King Charles III – The Leadership and Vision of Modern Monarch is a great book to have! If the sponsorship pages are going to bother you, it’s best to skip purchasing the book.
You can get your copy ($78 for those in the States or £59.95 for those in the UK) on the website of the publisher (here) or on Amazon (here).
