Queen Mary of Denmark, Princess Benedikte, the Princess of Orange and Infanta Elena of Spain attended the FEI World Championships equestrian event together. Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, was also present.
The FEI World Championships have six equestrian disciplines: dressage, eventing, driving, para-dressage, show jumping, and vaulting. The Queen, Princess and Infanta joined the opening ceremony at the Allianz Park in Aachen, Germany.
The Royal Stables of Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands presented themselves during the opening ceremony. The Dutch Royal Stables displayed the Crème Calèche from 1898. This was a gift from Queen Emma to her daughter Queen Wilhelmina on the occasion of her inauguration. It was presented during the opening with four Friesian horses, a postilion, two outriders with three royal warmblood horses and riders from the royal stables.

The FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 will last until 23 August.
