Hello, Your Majesty! Queen Camilla joins King Charles on the final leg of the Autumn Tour, which will see the King and Queen open the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda.

King Charles has single-handedly visited the Bahamas — as its King — and Guyana over the past week. The King has been immersed in the island culture, their roles in environmental stewardship and how young people play such a vital part in the Commonwealth, as more than 60 per cent of its population is aged 29 or under.

The Commonwealth’s 56 independent countries span the globe and together are home to one-third of the world’s population, across all regions and all continents — minus Antarctica. The remarkable youth population holds what King Charles has described as ‘extraordinary potential’ for the future, as the Commonwealth member nations work towards common goals.

Today, Queen Camilla has joined her husband on the climax of the Autumn Tour. Her Majesty brought her elegant signature style by re-wearing one of her favourite ensembles. Camilla opted for a blue Anna Valentine dress, which the Queen wore to Wimbledon earlier this year, paired with her pendant necklace featuring the initials of her grandchildren — Eliza, Freddy, Gus, Lola and Louis — along with a red poppy as the UK and Commonwealth enter the period of remembrance.

King Charles and Queen Camilla’s first joint engagement of the Autumn Tour was a service at St John’s Pentecostal House of Restoration in Saint John’s this morning, celebrating the various faiths of the Commonwealth. Prayers were said by different faith leaders, who called for wisdom and peace in the stewardship of the nations which make up the Commonwealth.

The King and Queen were also joined by a wide range of Commonwealth leaders, including Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and the Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, Sir Rodney Williams.

Their Majesties have a full day of engagements on Sunday followed by further events during the week. The Royal News Organisation will keep you up to date throughout King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to Antigua and Barbuda.
