Queen Camilla has been given the Legion of Honour during the state visit of French President Macron.
She wore the sash of the Legion of Honour during the state banquet.
This honour is given by France to foreign heads of state and royal consorts. King Charles previously received the Legion of Honour in 1984, while he was still Prince of Wales.
In return, President Macron was given the Order of the Bath, but Mrs Macron did not receive an honour as the United Kingdom does not normally grant one to the head of state’s spouse.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were also not left out. Prince William has been made a Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour, while Catherine has been made Grand Officer of the Order of Merit. The Princess of Wales had the Order of Merit badge pinned to her sash, while the Prince of Wales wore the star.
Also present at the state banquet were the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
