The Princess of Wales joined the Royal Family for the annual Christmas Day church service and walkabout.

The smiling Princess, who battled cancer this year, greeted the public after the church service and accepted several gifts from those gathered as the royals headed back to Sandringham for Christmas celebrations.

While socialising with one person, Catherine realised her family had concluded their walkabout. She then joked, “I seem to have lost my family.”

There was one special moment on Christmas morning when the Princess of Wales was seen embracing a cancer patient in the crowd. This came just a few months after Catherine revealed that she had completed her preventative chemotherapy treatment and was slowly resuming royal duties.

The Princess spoke to 73-year-old Karen Maclean, who has been battling cancer for 20 years. After the hug, Maclean was heard saying, “What a privilege.”

Maclean also spoke to King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, and said that he remembered meeting her in the past. She told the press the King and Princess seemed “very well” considering their health battles this year.
