Princess Beatrice expecting second child

Buckingham Palace has announced that Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child.

The statement reads, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three. His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Princess Beatrice is the eldest daughter of The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York. She married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020. They have one daughter together, Sienna, who is now three. Edoardo has one son, Wolfie, with his previous partner, Dara Huang.

This child will become 11th in the line of succession. They will not go ahead of their sister, Sienna, if they are a boy, as the succession law was altered to be gender-neutral.
