Prince William has joined a TikTok video for a student to explain why she’s late for class.
While visiting Ulster University in Northern Ireland, students lined up to see the Prince of Wales, and one student turned on her video camera to explain to her professor why she was late for their lecture.
The video, which has garnered over 200,000 likes, has the caption: “POV—Prince William gives you the best excuse for being late.”
The student, named Samantha, tells William, “You have to tell her why we’re late.”
The Prince then asks who he’s speaking to and is told Leslie.
“Leslie, I’m very sorry we’re late but they seem to be caught up and you wouldn’t believe that they were here,” William says with a smile.

Samantha and her friend both thanked the royal as he walked away.
The short video has been viewed over a million times at the writing of this article with the author joking in the comments: “I’ve been royally pardoned from my lecture.”
The student also added that the royal was “really sweet” and that making the video was “so, so kind of him.”
Prince William travelled to Northern Ireland on 14 November to meet partners involved in the Homewars programme and to visit the country’s creative industries sector.
