The Duke of Edinburgh is on a two-day visit to South Africa. He arrived there on Monday and was welcomed by Ambassador Maud Dlomo.
The Duke met with the recipients of the President’s Awards, the international branch of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, in Pretoria. President Ramaphosa is a patron of the Awards.
He toured the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens, joined by the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment, Barbara Creecy. He also met with animal conservation groups about conserving nature.
