The Duchess of Edinburgh has visited Ukraine at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. She is the first member of the British royal family to do so since the outbreak of the conflict.
The visit was to demonstrate solidarity with the women, men and children impacted by the war and in a continuation of the Duchess’s work to champion survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.
In the morning, the Duchess met with the President and First Lady of Ukraine to deliver a message on behalf of King Charles.
