Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, was in Uttoxeter today to open a new factory.
At the opening, Sophie received a check for £300,000 for a children’s charity of which she is a patron. The money was collected by the employees. The Countess was given a tour of the factory.
The chairman said: “Britain and Staffordshire are a great place to manufacture, and investing in the UK is something we will continue to do. Investing in this factory has literally transformed our cab production, taking our business to the next level have been lifted.”
Staff member Ben said: “It was fantastic meeting the Countess of Wessex, and the whole team are very proud to have been able to show off our hi-tech workplace to a member of the Royal Family. She was very interested in everything we have done to make this a world-class efficient manufacturing facility that rivals the best in the world.”
