Prince Gabriel of Belgium spent the winter undergoing military training in Morocco.

The Prince, who is second in line to the throne, spent his final winter camp in the African nation’s desert.

The Belgian Royal Palace released images of the 22-year-old royal training with his fellow recruits at the Royal Military Academy Belgium.

Prince Gabriel and his fellow trainees were near the town of Errachidia, which the Royal Court called an “inhospitable yet impressive environment.”

The recruits learned orientation, survival skills, and platoon leadership while in the Moroccan desert.

Prince Gabriel’s studies at the Royal Military Academy began in 2022. He followed in the footsteps of his older sister, Princess Elisabeth – Belgium’s future monarch.
