Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie hold gala dinner

The new Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie  of Luxembourg held a gala dinner following the Grand Duke’s swearing-in.

Among the royal guests were King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium and their Dutch counterparts King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia.

The gala dinner took place in the Grand Ducal Palace and was also attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier with his wife.

In a speech, the Grand Duke said, “Tonight, in the presence of our partners and friends, we reaffirm our loyalty to the principles that unite us. Because only by remaining true to our history, our values ​​and our shared responsibilities can we build a Europe that is ready to face the challenges of tomorrow.”
