Family images released to mark 90th birthday of King Albert

Family images have been released to mark the 90th birthday of King Albert II of Belgium.

Four photos were released showing the former monarch with his son, the reigning King Philippe of the Belgians, and granddaughter, Princess Elisabeth – the heir to the throne.

Christian Decloedt is responsible for the portrait image of King Albert, while Royal Court photographer Bas Bogaerts took the other images featuring King Philippe and Princess Elisabeth.

King Albert reigned as King of the Belgians from 1993 until his abdication in 2013.
