The Brunei Flower Diamond Tiara is one of the newer tiaras in royal circles but has already been worn at two royal weddings.
Originally commissioned for Princess Azemah’s (the daughter of the Sultan of Brunei) wedding in 2023, it was dusted off one year later for Prince Mateen’s wedding to Anisha Rosnah.
The design was chosen by Prince Mateen and Princess Azemah ahead of her wedding from three sketches by Flower Diamond creative director Roslind Ng.
The tiara was designed and created by Singapore jeweller Flower Diamond, features 838 diamonds in various cuts for a whopping 132 carats, and is made up of 18-carat white gold. It took eight months to complete.
It is light and modern, per the request of Princess Azemah.

The large pear—and oval-cut diamonds on the tiara were taken from diamonds already in the Brunei Royal Family’s collection.
Flower Diamond spoke to Vogue Singapore about the tiara back in January and Vogue said about its design: “The result is a rather airy and delicate design: a slender frame that’s fully set with single rows of round brilliant and square diamonds; 13 large oval diamonds that radiate from a central arrangement, each of them mounted and connected with delicate curling gold filigree; and 16 ample pear-cut diamonds at the top, their points aimed at the centre and each linked by a square diamond, that trace a line towards an oval diamond that takes the crowning position at the top.”
When it came time for Prince Mateen’s wedding to Anisha in early 2024, he chose his sister’s tiara and only a few adjustments were needed for it to fit the new Princess Anisha as she wed.
