Princess Bajrakitiyabha is suffering from an uncontrolled infection affecting vital organs while in hospital, says the Palace.

The Bureau of the Royal Household has issued their seventh medical bulletin regarding Princess Bajrakitiyabha. The Princess was admitted in December 2022 after collapsing and losing consciousness due to an unknown heart condition. Since then, there has been various statements giving both good and bad news from time to time. Today, the statement released by the Palace indicated worsening news.

The medical team attending to Princess Bajrakitiyabha has said that her condition has deteriorated due to a ‘severe’ infection resulting from inflammation of the large intestine. Since April 2026, the Princess’s infection has led to ‘unstable conditions’ which include low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat and abnormal blood clotting.

Despite continuous life-supporting measures for the heart and lungs, several antibiotics, and medications to stimulate blood pressure and control heart rhythm, Her Royal Highness’s condition has ‘worsened,’ indicating a ‘severe’ and ‘uncontrolled’ infection that is disrupting the function of several vital organs.

The medical team at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital is closely monitoring the Princess’s condition and providing continuous treatment.
