King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida attended a state banquet in Hanoi hosted by the President and First Lady.
Party General Secretary and President of Vietnam Tô Lâm, along with First Lady Ngô Thị Phương Ly, hosted a state banquet last evening at Tonkin Palace in honour of King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida’s state visit.

After dinner, Their Majesties with the Presidential Couple proceeded to Ngọc Sơn Temple to view cultural performances.
Tonkin Palace, or Bắc Bộ Phủ — meaning the “Northern Palace” — was constructed in 1918. Located at the intersection of Le Thach and Ngo Quyen Streets in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem District, the building formerly served as the residence and workplace of President Ho Chi Minh and has been preserved almost entirely in its original state.

Due to its historical significance, the Palace was registered as a national historical monument in 1985. It subsequently underwent major restoration and renovation in 2025 to serve as the office of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. An extension greenhouse was also constructed to serve as a venue for the Vietnamese government to host receptions for foreign dignitaries.
The King and Queen will return to Thailand later today.
