The royal court of Norway has announced that King Harald’s condition is “very serious.”
As a consequence, Crown Prince Haakon and Queen Sonja are cancelling their engagements for the foreseeable future.
King Harald was admitted to the hospital last week. He was being treated with cortisone for the blood disease hemolytic anaemia, which led to fluid accumulation in the body that required treatment in the hospital.
