The King and Queen of Bhutan first laid a wreath in the Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall, where the late Princess’s body is lying in state behind an ornately decorated royal urn. Their Majesties also signed the book of condolence at the Grand Palace for visiting dignitaries.
Their Majesties also joined the Thai Royal Family at the Royal Funeral Ceremony, which marks the seventh day since the late Princess’s passing.
Following the announcement of Princess Bajrakitiyabha’s death nearly a week ago, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema spoke of her devotion to service and her “unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.”
