Deputising for his father, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Crown Prince Hussein attended an informal meeting of EU partners in Cyprus.

The meeting was organised by the European Union and attended by several European heads of state and other government representatives. They discussed the developments in the Middle East.

Crown Prince Hussein emphasised the importance of cooperation between Jordan and the European Union. Jordan will host the Jordan-EU Investment Conference later this year.

The Crown Prince also stressed that any ceasefire agreement must address all the causes of the tensions. It must also distract from the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

On the margins of the meeting, Crown Prince Hussein met with President Emmanuel Macron of France. The Crown Prince spoke of his pride in the strong friendship between Jordan and France. Their discussion also addressed the developments in the Middle East.
