Crown Prince Haakon of Norway attended One Ocean Week in Bergen.
He began his day in Bergen at the One Ocean Summit in Håkon Hall, where national and international stakeholders are brought together. The Crown Prince then went on a tour of the ro/ro ship “Trans Sol” and the educational vessel “Skulebas” at Festningskaien.

The “Trans Sol” recently had rotor sails installed, which means it reduced its emissions by 50 per cent, while the “Skylebas” is a hydrogen and electric hybrid fishing and education vessel. It is affiliated with the Måløy Upper Secondary School and was donated by Vestland County Council in 2023.
On board the “Statsraad Lehmkuhl” vessel, Crown Prince Haakon attended a mini-conference called “Aquatic Foods for Resilient Food Systems”, which was organised by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.
The Crown Prince and Minister of Fisheries, Marianne Sivertsen Næss, had a bacalao lasagna which had been made by students from the Hatlane School in Ålesund.
The Crown Prince was then presented with a message in a bottle with ideas for saving the ocean by the students of Storetveit School and Metis Upper Secondary School.
The Message in a Bottle is a school project, which is part of the Statsraad Lehmkuhl’s One Ocean Expedition 2025–2026. Along the route, students from all over the world have contributed.
