Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan travelled to Doha for a meeting with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar.
Upon arrival at Doha International Airport, Crown Prince Hussein was received by the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Qatar, Zaid Lozi.

The visit was meant to emphasise the importance of de-escalation in the region.
The meeting was held at Amiri Diwan, and Crown Prince Hussein conveyed the regards of his father, King Abdullah II, to Sheikh Tamim.
They discussed regional developments and the need to intensify efforts towards a permanent ceasefire and to use diplomacy to end the tensions. The Crown Prince emphasised Jordan’s full solidarity with Qatar and the other Gulf states.
