Royals from around the world will gather in Sweden at the end of this month.

Earlier this year, the Swedish Royal Court published plans for the celebrations marking the 80th birthday of King Carl Gustaf as well as plans for the Swedish King and Queen’s golden wedding anniversary.

In what will be one of the largest royal gatherings since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II—before that the enthronement of the Emperor of Japan—invited guests from around the globe will descend on the Kingdom of Sweden to celebrate the current longest-reigning sovereign in Europe. A large gala dinner will be held on the evening of 30th April.

The Royal News Organisation will keep you up to date on attendance at this month’s celebrations. Below are confirmed attendees, and this page will be updated as more are announced.

  • Denmark — King Frederik, Queen Mary, Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte
  • Norway — King Harald, Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon
  • Thailand — King Rama X (Vajiralongkorn) and Queen Suthida
  • Netherlands — King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima

This list will be updated as more confirmations are announced by the respective Courts and Houses.
